Since Splash Woman is female, wouldn't that make her a Robot Mistress?

Splash Woman reminds me of Touhou 14's stage 1 boss, Wakasagihime , who is also a mermaid, but shoots danmaku or uses spellcards instead.

Female Robot Master[]
I personally think it took them too long to do this. My brother used to say that all Robot Masters are men but I kept saying why not a woman? Anyway I'm glad they did this. I wonder why there hasn't been a female Maverick? Bransrubar 03:47, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
- I guess you could say that Ferham is the first female Maverick in the X series. Most of the lead developers and designers are male I think, and they don't seem to be comfortable working with female characters. Alia almost never was judging from her developers comments. At least at the time they seem to think that a female character represents sensuality (or thats just the only way they would know how to portray one, Ferham (she has dominatrix mannerisms) and Marino (her transformed state shows a lot of skin oddly enough, her breast also jiggle in-game) for example) and that they would be inappropriate for a "kids" game. -- Udana 06:26, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

- Ah yes, I tend to forget about those two. Iris mainly because I've never really thought much of her (she's OK and all, must be the damsel in distress thing) and Berkana, because I never played the Gameboy games so she just never comes to mind. -- Udana 14:09, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
